50-Year Reunion Packet
If you are you in need of a copy of the 50-Year Reunion Packet, you will find it here. As of August 17, we have reservations for 148 people to attend the Reunion. The deadline to register was July 31, but reservations are still trickling in.
On August 24, we discussed our "Main Event" with Hondo at Casa Capri. Attendance for our event has grown to 153 people and has exceeded banquet hall capacity. Hondo has agreed to close the restaurant on Saturday night, so that our Reunion may occupy both the banquet hall and the restaurant!
'73 Scholarship Fund
The Reunion Committee had set a fund-raising goal of $1973. Thanks to your generous support, and aided by a fund-raising challenge posed by Kris Winzer Miller (and her husband, Larry ’71), we have surpassed $3000 – donated to the Kenosha Bradford High School Alumni Association (aka KBHSAA) – to fund the Class of 1973 Scholarship to be offered for a 2024 Bradford Senior. As outlined on our Home page, M/M Miller are working with KBHSAA to establish two specific scholarships to be facilitated for 2024.
The Main Event: Saturday, September 16 at Casa Capri
In case you missed the update on our Home page, Casa Capri is closing the restaurant to accommodate our Reunion. Attendance has grown to more than 150 people, and you may view the updated list of who will be in attendance here. The Reunion Committee has organized the following events for Saturday evening:
Silent Auction. If you’ve been following our Home page closely, you are aware of the Silent Auction to be held in conjunction with our Reunion on Saturday, September 16 (aka “The Main Event”). We have posted a list of the Silent Auction items going up for bid here.
The Silent Auction is open for bidding from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. At 8:00PM, members of the Reunion Committee will circle the winning bid on each Bid Sheet. Those who have participated in the bidding are asked to check the status of their bids and bring their winning Bid Sheet(s) to the Registration Table to pay for the items they have won.
Payment options: cash or personal check (sorry, we are not set up to accept credit or debit cards or any other form of electronic payment).
Trivia Contest. The Reunion Committee is working on a Trivia Contest to be held in conjunction with The Main Event. In the event of a tie, each person with a winning test will be given a Raffle Ticket and a drawing will take place to determine a single winner of the prize for the Trivia Contest.
50/50 Raffle. At its meeting on August 14, the Reunion Committee decided to hold a 50/50 Raffle, with the proceeds to be put toward the ’73 Class website and to be set aside for start-up funds for our next event.
Raffle Tickets will be available for purchase from 6:00PM until 8:30PM and are priced at $1/ticket or $5/6 tickets. Payment options for the Raffle Tickets are the same as those listed above for the Silent Auction. The winning ticket will be drawn at 8:45PM. Must be present to win.
