Updated 02/20/2021: A change in dates for streaming the Bradford productions of Pippin and Quilters were noted in an article in the Kenosha News late last week. Inclement weather and the biggest snow storm this winter played a role in some of the date changes. Here is a list of the remaining Theatre Arts productions being staged at our alma mater; if you click on the link for the individual shows, you can see the cast list.
February 26-27 and March 5-6 at 7:30PM;

11/06/2020: An article in today's Kenosha News has us remembering the production of The Miracle Worker staged at Bradford High School in 1973, featuring talented classmates Christina Michalski as Annie Sullivan and Janine Hunter as Hellen Keller... the KUSD Theatre Arts program has grown exponentially since our days at Bradford! But we digress... the K-News article announced that all 2020-2021 KUSD Theater Arts productions will be virtual due to the COVID-19 virus.
The Revolutionists is the first production, streaming TODAY, Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8. Visit the KUSD Theatre Arts web page now to purchase tickets for this stream event. The full list of KUSD Theatre Arts virtual productions for 2020-2021 is available here.
Stay safe and stay in touch!
REUNION COMMITTEE REQUESTS YOUR ASSISTANCE
We've just completed an update to the In Memory page, adding photos of most of those classmates who've passed. Some of the photos are from published obituaries and some were taken from our Spy yearbooks. We are still wishing we could update the listings for those classmates for whom we do not have the year in which they passed. If you can help us fill in the blanks, please reach out to us via the Contact Us page. Thanks so much for your help!
It's July 1, 2020... by now you're probably all tired of the COVID-19 news... nevertheless, we hope all are well and staying safe! Today we updated our Oh No – Bouncing Emails! page, which lists the names of 16 classmates who are currently unable to receive emails through this website, along with instructions to be followed to correct the problem.
Fellow classmates, if you are in direct contact with any of those classmates, kindly reach out to them and ask them to update the email address in their profile.
The Reunion Committee thanks you for your assistance!
In other news, KBHSAA recently announced its 2019 scholarship recipients;
the senior selected to receive the Class of 1973 Scholarship in the amount of $773 is
Amanda Yackley, who plans to major in Biomolecular Engineering at MSOE.
Blink of an Eye: 45-Year Reunion!
Thanks to all who turned out -- by our count, a total of 11 classmates -- for Friday night football at Mary D. Bradford Stadium on September 7. We cheered on the Bradford Red Devils and fondly recalled the times we watched our classmates playing for Bradford at Lakefront Stadium. Unfortunately, the 2018 Bradford Red Devils were defeated by the Oak Creek Knights… final score 28-7.
Our Saturday night event kicked off at 5PM with cash bar, snacks and the Silent Auction, a fundraiser for the Class of '73 Scholarship Fund. We'd had 91 people sign up to attend the September 8 event, and another 9 people paid at the door. We send our thanks to Hondo and our attentive waitstaff for keeping those wonderful Casa Capri pizzas coming throughout the evening. Thanks also go out to our talented bakers on the Reunion Committee: Debbie (Mink) Ruppa, Claudia (Stoyer) Nickerson and Jan (Martin '74) Vaccaro for the homemade cookies, lemon bars, etc.
When we announced the closing of our Silent Auction at 7:30PM, we asked Janine Hunter (who had dropped in with her cousin, Alisa [Ruffolo '82] Taleronik to draw the winning ticket for the Door Prize. Sharon (Martin) Gename was the winner, taking home a tote bag cooler containing Snap-on T-shirts, hats, socks and a pair of sunglasses.
The Silent Auction was well received, with several spirited bidding wars between classmates over popular items. We send our thanks to the many local businesses that donated merchandise or gift certificates for our Silent Auction. If you live in the Kenosha area, we hope you will support these businesses with your patronage… you'll find them listed on our Thanks Silent Auction Donors webpage. Thanks to all who participated in our Silent Auction; several classmates snapped up some great deals. When it ended, we had taken in $490 for our Scholarship Fund. We’d also like to thank those classmates who so generously supported our Class of ’73 Scholarship Fund appeal with a donation to KBHSAA (the Bradford Alumni Association). The Class of '73 Scholarship in the amount of $773 will be offered for a 2019 Bradford senior and will be administered by KBHSAA.
In the Photo Gallery, we have posted a dozen photos taken by Randy. If you were one of the many classmates taking photos with your Smartphone, we'd love to have you add them to the Photo Gallery for the 45-Year Reunion. You may upload them if you're comfortable doing so, or simply email them to website administrators Randy and Jan Vaccaro at email@example.com. Or if you'd prefer to send them via text message, please send a quick email to request the phone# to which you may send them.
Organizing a reunion and getting the word out to as many classmates as possible takes a great team effort. Be part of that team by keeping us updated on any changes to your directory data. You may contact us through the website, or reach out to a Reunion Committee member via telephone if email is not something you typically do (leave a voicemail if you don't get through to a human being -- we may not always answer calls from phone numbers we don't recognize).
Keeping Your Information Private
You may be wondering if your contact information (i.e., address and phone number) is secure on our website. When you post changes to your mailing address and phone numbers in your profile on the website, the info is only visible to our Site Administrators, Randy and Jan Vaccaro. We recently “checked the box” to Block Profile Visibility for everyone listed on the Class of ’73 website. This blocks public and search engines from accessing the information contained in your profile. Classmates who are logged in on the website cannot see your street address or phone numbers, but they may see photos and any personal narrative you share in your profile. If you send a message to a classmate through the website, they will see your email address.
Support the Bradford High School Alumni Association
We hope you'll consider supporting the Kenosha Bradford High School Alumni Association (KBHSAA) by becoming a member. Please visit the Alumni Association's official website for more information on its mission to provide annual scholarships to deserving seniors and recognition of Distinguished Alumni for their achievements.
The KBHSAA has previously honored four of our classmates as DAA recipients: Michael Martino in 2001, Peter Barca in 2005 and, in 2019, Louis Covelli and Vince Ruffolo. Next time you have occasion to visit BHS -- perhaps to take in a grandchild's concert or performance in a play (yikes... that means we're really getting old!) -- take a few minutes to check out the plaques on display in the hallway outside the Auditorium. We'd very much like to see another deserving member of the Class of '73 nominated to receive DAA consideration next year. The nomination form will be available on the KBHSAA website by mid-September 2020. Nominations are due by January 31, 2021.
